I think one of the best assets to Mason is the Career Service Office! It is incredible how helpful they have been during my time here at Mason. The relationship that the  LEAD office has been able to maintain with Career Services has been beneficial not only to me but also to the many students who have interacted with the LEAD office. With the use of both the Career Services office and my experience
working with the LEAD office has prepared me for a career! Understanding the team dynamics that are so vital to office function and productiveness has been some things that I accumulated during my time serving as a LEAD consultant. I have learned and am continuing to work on my punctuality and being more detailed oriented.

With each program we had to practice an excellent amount of professionalism. We were always aware that we were working with others and that our actions would reflect on others. It has been a pleasure working in an office that sets the standard of excellence extremely high. We are also a very understanding and compassionate office who makes experiences personable and more than just another conference, or workshop. We really strived to add any personal experiences into each body of work we had the pleasure of implementing.

Working with the Lead office taught me that it is really important to love what you do. I am inspired to find a job that I am truly passionate about so that my work is not a burden but an enjoyment. In the LEAD office I also learned the value behind truly giving 100%. I realized that it is ambitious and bold to want to be involved in a million and one things but it is more valuable to put in hard work and not just half work into what you do. I saw how this translates into any area of work you have. I also learned that sometimes you might be tasked with things you do not want to do but always remembering the mission of the office and realizing that what you are doing is more than you and it is going to effect multiple individuals and possibly change their lives forever!
